Hemei Wang

Dr. Wang Hemei has been engaged in non-clinical safety evaluation of drugs for more than 20 years, and is a well-known expert in toxic pathology, GLP inspection expert of the National Drug Administration (NMPA) and CDE new drug review expert. At present, he is also the vice chairman of the Toxicity Pathology Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Society, the vice chairman of the Toxicity Pathology Professional Committee of the Chinese Toxicology Society, and the vice president of the Veterinary Pathologist branch of the Chinese Veterinary Pathology Association. He is a certified pathologist of the Chinese Veterinary Pathology Branch, and a senior member of many foreign toxicity pathology societies such as STP, ESTP and JSTP. Prior to joining Fonda, Dr. Wang served as a researcher at the Institute of Toxicology and Drugs of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Deputy Director and Head of the Department of Pathology of the National Beijing New Drug Safety Evaluation Research Center, Deputy Director and Senior Director of the Department of Pathology of Beijing Zhaoyan New Drug Research Center Co., LTD., Vice President and General Manager of the GLP Center of Shanghai Ruizhu Chemical Research Co., LTD.
Dr. Wang has undertaken more than 10 national or military longitudinal research projects, published more than 50 papers at home and abroad, more than 80 conference abstracts at home and abroad, and 9 monographs as chief translator/deputy chief translator/deputy editor.He won two second prizes of the Military Science and Technology Progress Award, one science and Technology Progress Award of the Chinese Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and one third-class military individual merit award.In 2021, it will be funded by Jiangsu Province’s “Double and Creative Talents”.Dr. Wang received his Bachelor’s degree in forensic Medicine and Master’s degree in forensic pathology from Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and his Doctor’s degree in Health Toxicology from the Academy of Military Medical Sciences. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Medical Center of the University of Mainz in Germany for 2 years.
